To create towels that babies can eat by 2073 (the 120th anniversary of our founding)

Founded in 1953, we have spent 60 years to become one of the few textile manufacturers in the world whose products have passed Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class 1 and are safe even if babies put them in their mouths. (*Antimicrobial products are excluded from Oeko-Tex inspection.)

On March 1, 2014, the 60th anniversary of our founding, we changed our company name to IKEUCHI ORGANIC and set the next safety standard as our corporate action guideline: to create towels that babies can eat over another 60 years. As a first step, our main factory acquired ISO-22000 certification, the safety standard for food factories, on December 7, 2015, and underwent its first annual audit in December 2016.

As of 2017, the main factory began its transformation from a weaving factory to a food cloth factory, and IKEUCHI ORGANIC towels and textiles are produced according to the food safety standard HACCP (Hassap).
