Yamato Aoki

Entrepreneur and athlete, two-faced.

In January 2016, he had an accident and suffered spinal cord and cauda equina injuries. With rehabilitation and the support of his friends, he opened the community house "Aoie" in the fall of 2016, and established EXx Inc. in 2020 as a spin-out of the mobility business that started in Aoie in 2018, becoming the president of the company.

In his personal life, thanks to his rehabilitation, he has recovered to the point where he can ski, to which he devoted his youth. Encouraged by his mentors and friends from his junior and senior high school days to take on the challenge of competing in the Paralympics, he began training.

She competed at the Beijing Winter Paralympics for the first time, and is aiming to win a medal at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Paralympics.

Aoki’s Unique Story

Like baseball’s Otani, there are athletes in the world of para-athletes who are active in two different fields. Yamato Aoki, a para-alpine skier/ranked athlete, is both a manager and an athlete.

He is the CEO of EXx, Inc. and actively competes in international competitions in Europe.

From business management to his career as an athlete, Aoki has a wide range of knowledge and experience.

Aoki’s comment

I have been a personal fan of IKEUCHI’s products since before I became an athlete.

I was introduced to Ikeuchi’s products by Mr. Toba of sio, a personal friend of mine, and from there I changed all the towels in my house.

I now take the blanket with me when I go on expeditions and work hard in my training.

I also brought it with me when I competed in the Beijing Winter Paralympics in March 2022, and slept with it every day on race day.
